Real Holidays was established in 1989 and is an independent travel company based on Essex Road in Islington, north London. The company is passionate about Italy but are experts in tailor-made holidays to both short haul and long haul destinations across the world. Real Holiday's ethos is to provide a personal, professional and knowledgeable service to customers that are seeking an exceptional client experience at great value with a company they can trust to deliver.

Real Holidays website had evolved over almost 10 years, in parallel with the growth of the company, and as a result, it had become increasingly difficult to navigate. Additionally Real Holidays wanted better SEO and to complete on an equal footing with other travel firms with lavish marketing budgets and designs to match. The final stipulations was that the site should be built in Joomla, to allow access to the widest possible pool of development talent.

We started by creating new simple modern designs, completely re-inventing the navigation of the site to make it simple and easy to use and adding social media interactivity, blogs and landing pages.

The core of the site was developed in a Joomla Content Creation Kit (CCK) component called K2, together with K2 plugins and a custom Joomla template.

The result is clean simple and much more contemporary, reflecting the modern company that Real Holidays has become.
